NEW NURSERY ADMISSIONS - AUTUMN 2020

We are delighted that your child is joining our Nursery at Hambrough Primary School in the autumn term.  On behalf of the Staff, Governors, children and parents, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your family to our school community.

We are conscious that these are unique times and we would like to reassure you that despite this, preparations are well underway to welcome your child to our school.

Each year we hold an induction day in June to talk you through our school routines expectations and share key information with you about starting school.  This includes how to support your child with their transition to our school. However, at the present time we are unable to provide a date for when this is going to take place.

Please rest assured we will do everything we can to ensure that each child has a smooth transition and the support they need to begin their learning journey with us at Hambrough Primary School.

Transition

We will be talking to you directly to find out about your child's preferences; things they particularly enjoy, find difficult etc. These conversations usually take place within the context of a stay and play visit to school and a home visit in July. However, this is not possible at present due to the current situation, we will think creatively to ensure that we receive all of the information that we need about your child.

The links below have some useful resources to support with transition.

We hope that the information on this page will answer many of the questions that you have about your child starting Nursery with us in the autumn term and assure you that we will write to you in the coming weeks with further details about your child's starting date.

We look forward to meeting you all soon.
